One of the most hilarious Spanish street slang phrases used in Puerto Rico is como guineo en boca de vieja. This Puerto Rican Spanish expression literally translates to “like a banana in an old lady’s mouth” and means “to pass easily without force.”
When using this phrase it needs to be preceded by a verb, generally the verb ir. For example, you will hear sentences like:
• Se fue como guieno en boca de vieja
• Se va como guineo en boca de vieja
But there are other verbs that also makes a good fit. Check out these variations:
• Pasar como guineo en boca de vieja
• Entrar como guineo en boca de vieja
• Caer como guineo en boca de vieja
• Estar como guineo en boca de vieja
This Puerto Rican Spanish expression is so prolific that it can be used to describe even traffic conditions like in the following example:
