If you’ve made it this far you’re either ready to follow me on Twitter…Good choice, it’s an easy way to reach me. Just hit the FOLLOW button above and ignore everything else after this sentence.
…OR, if you’re still reading you’re probably curious about this weird, maybe not-so-useful Twitter thing. You’re already on Facebook, have a LinkedIn account maybe, are debating setting up an account on Google+ (as a separate FYI, that’s Google más in Spanish), have an abandoned account on Tumblr or Instagram, and are fed up with all the spam emails you receive.
So what’s the point of Twitter you say? It’s an incredibly powerful, simple tool that allows you to reach and communicate with people across the globe who share similar interests.
Through Twitter, I’ve struck up a great relationship with a Colombian Spanish teacher who has lived in Ukraine and Uganda since we started communicating. The odds of us ever speaking before Twitter were 0.0000001%. Now, we share weekly conversations on Twitter about teaching Spanish, Colombian slang and even just mundane stuff about how we’re doing.
That’s just one simple example.
I tweet about Spanish, Spanish vocabulary, learning Spanish, and even lots about learning other languages. Also, Twitter’s the quickest way to reach me. Email’s good too, but Twitter’s a better way to start a dialog and bring in others to the conversation.
So if you’re a Speaking Latino fan, a language learner or just someone who likes to talk Follow me and let’s get blabbing.
